At Philps Bakery, we’ve spent decades perfecting the art of the Cornish pasty — and we still make them the same way our family has since 1958.

Every morning at our production site in Hayle, our bakers hand‑make and hand‑crimp each pasty using traditional methods and recipes passed down through generations. We use only quality local ingredients, and everything is baked fresh daily to keep that legendary Philps flavour exactly as it should be.

Philp's pasties are famously huge, packed with big chunks of steak and a hearty filling that gives you that proper Cornish satisfaction from the very first bite. For those who can’t make it to Cornwall, we offer Philp's Pasties by Post — the same generously sized pasties you know and love, delivered straight to your door. Our postal pasties are made fresh every morning, baked and dispatched the same day, with care so they arrive in top condition. We only use premium ingredients, and the pasties are packed securely to maintain freshness and quality during transit.

Hand-crimped in Hayle and steeped in tradition, Philp's pasties are more than a meal - they're a Cornish right of passage. Generously sized, unapologetically hearty, and baked with premium ingredients, each pasty is a tribute to the land, the craft, and the appetite.

 

Flavours to Crave:

Shortcrust Steak - Classic and robust, with tender beef, potato, swede, and onion wrapped in golden shortcrust pastry.

Flaky Steak - Same rich filling, but encased in buttery, layered flaky pastry for a lighter crunch.

Flaky Vegan - A plant-based twist with seasoned veg (potato, swede and onion) and flaky pastry - with no compromise on flavour.

Flaky Cheese - Mature creamy cheese meets our classic savoury veg (potato, swede and onion) in a melt-in-the-mouth combo.

Flaky Mince - Comfort food at it's finest: seasoned minced beef with our traditional veg (potato, swede and onion).

Flaky Chicken - Succulent chicken pieces, a creamy chicken sauce, and hearty veg (potato, swede and onion) in our iconic flaky pastry.

Flaky Steak + Cheese - The indulgent hybrid - prime beef meets mature cheese and our signature veg (potato, swede and onion) in a flaky embrace.

 

Size matters:

Our standard pasties weigh in at 380-400g, making them a full meal, not just a snack.

Each meat pasty contains at least 12.5% meat to comply with traditional recipes, ensuring authenticity.
